BRITTPAPERSCISSORS

Brittpaperscissors is the moniker used by Brittany Farhat, music filmmaker, former resident designer and content creator at Royal Mountain Records, and former video content producer at Universal Music Canada and director of Custom Kitchen - a live off the floor music web series.

A uniquely inventive artist, Brittany’s world is one where everything is brightly coloured and handcrafted with everyday materials - a utopia of patterned paper, recycled materials, paint, and music.

Brittany started out in the film industry, working in post production on projects such as Guillermo Del Toro’s fantasy-horror feature
Crimson Peak. All the while a life-long passion for music lead Brittany's camera and DIY craftwork to the Canadian independent music scene.

Brittany quickly became a busy videographer and designer, eventually landing a position with
Royal Mountain Records, working as a content creator and designer for Canadian independent bands like as Hollerado, PUP, and Alvvays.

Brittany than started working at
Universal Music Canada as their video content producer creating content for international and domestic artists signed to Universal, and for Umusic's youtube channel and social media platforms.

Brittany has directed music videos for
Hollerado, Deanna PetcoffSingle Mothers, LOLAATeenage Kicks, as well as shot and edited music videos for bands like PUP and more.

Summer of 2017, the Brittpaperscissors store officially launched at
Field Trip Music & Arts Festival featuring pins, patches, and stationary designed by Britt inspired by their three passions in life; music, filmmaking and DIY.

Fall 2017 Brittany toured across Canada with artist
Scott Helman as his videographer and photographer and then travelled across Europe with Scott Helman in 2018 to direct and produce a series of live music videos as well as tour documentaries with him on the road.

Brittany is now operating out of their own creative studio space in Toronto, Ontario.
